Returning Tidings

I built a castle in the sand.

But only an imprint remained,

As a reminder of Receding Tides,

Or the back of an Uncaring Moon

That now stares back wantonly.

The Sun also rises tomorrow,

but tonight, moonlight frolics

upon seducing shores of memory,

Illuminating waves upon waves

of scattered sand—shifting warily.
