Waiting by the tracks,

Where they should have met,

She lingered on a promise,

Drawn by serendipitous dreams

That drew forever apart that day,

As each blurring train whistled time away.

Led by clouds that blew astray,

Carrying curious feelings familiar,

He waited on a prayer,

Whispering from the trains,

Yet lingering upon the tracks,

Drawn ever close, yet silenced time again.
